Grappling Fight Night 1

August 1st saw BJJ on the Gold Coast get a whole lot better. Galeb Brothers BJJ held the first Grappling Fight Night at our Gold Coast academy and what a night it was. The event was a submission only style consisting of 3 x 5 minute rounds with a bonus round if no one submits their opponent with first to score points wins, granting a winner for every mach. We had 8 matches of white and blue belts from Galeb Brothers BJJ Gold Coast, Helensvale, Southside & Toowoomba academies testing their skills.

From the laser lights and the smoke machine to everybody cheering on their fellow teammates, the energy in the academy was insane! All the competitors gave 100% in the submission only format and left it all on the mat.

We want to give a big shoutout to Professor Fabio for organising such a great event. Thank you to all of our students for helping setup and to the ones who helped make the night a success with Brent Mills of Gold Coast as our very own MC and doing a fabulous job on the mic.
