End of year Grading Day

It is closing in on the end of 2018, and over the weekend we hosted our annual grading day at our Gold Coast academy. We had over 60 students on the mat plus family and friends were all here to witness a day that we will never forget.

Professor Fabio started the day off with belt promotions, followed by grading some of our students with new stripes. The team levelled up with 4 new blue belts, 1 new purple belt and 5 new brown belts, these are excellent achievements by all our students and we are so happy for you all. However, this grading day was different from the rest, as Professor Fabio had the honour to grade his very first black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Professor Renan is our newest black belt. After 10+ consistent years of training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he has achieved the black belt rank. We are so happy and proud of him!

Once the cheers and cries settled in the academy, Professor Fabio had one more surprise in which he graded Professor Caio his 1st degree on his black belt. Professor Caio's hard working mindset sure rubs off on to us all within the academy. Teaching and training us everyday with a smile on his face, we are proud to have him apart of the Galeb Brothers family.

All of us here at Galeb Brothers BJJ are proud of each and every one of you for your hard work and dedication to bettering yourselves everyday through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As our brand new Professor Renan said in his black belt speech, "more important then belts and medals... is loyalty, who is with you in the war" very inspirational words that we can all relate to.
